El inicio de 2020 no advirtió que solo unas semanas después, nuestras vidas y nuestra rutina diaria cambiarían radicalmente. De repente, una parada total: todo quieto, confinado en casa, aislado, limitado por el distanciamiento social.
Los libros, tanto su colección como su creación, son una constante, un leitmotiv de nuestra fundación, aunque no constituyen nuestra única área de interés y actividad. Quienes me conocen personalmente también son conscientes de que las obras de arte que más me conmueven, que centran mi mayor interés, son los libros de artista, concretamente los de fotografía. Por tanto, no debería sorprendernos que, partiendo de estas premisas, nuestra respuesta a los trastornos provocados por la pandemia, puente de contacto y diálogo en un período de aislamiento, sea forzosamente un libro nuevo. La idea de contrarrestar el aislamiento social con un libro colectivo, coral y de múltiples manos fue nuestra respuesta para imponer un sentido positivo en esta coyuntura, difícil para muchos y extremadamente trágica para otros…

/ The start of 2020 gave no warning that only a few weeks later, our lives and our daily routine would change radically. Suddenly, a total stop: all still, confined at home, in isolation, limited by social distancing.
Books–both their collection and their creation– are a constant, a leitmotiv of our foundation, although they don’t constitute our only area of interest and activity. Those who know me personally are also aware that the artworks that touch me most deeply, that focus my utmost interest are artists’ books, specifically those on photography. So it should come as no surprise that on these premises our response to the upheavals caused by the pandemic, the bridge of contact and dialogue in a period of isolation, would perforce be a new book. The idea to counter social isolation with a collective, choral, multi-handed book was our riposte to impose a positive sense onto this juncture, one difficult for many and extremely tragic for others…
